Donaldson Torit offers portable weld fume collectors, dedicated source capture units and central dust collection equipment for the control of welding fume.

Process Environments can design a system utilizing the appropriate components to control weld fume at its source, reducing smoke and pollutants in the worker's breathing zone.

The extraction arm assemblies capture dust and fume at the source. They are available in 6.5 - 13 ft. lengths and can be used with a 2-hp exhaust fan for discharge to atmosphere. They can also be used as a source capture device on the Easy Trunk, PT-1000 and T-2000 filter units.

The T-2000 is appropriate for source collection at dedicated welding stations, while the PT-1000 or Easy Trunk portable unit is recommended for intermittent welding applications in maintenance shops or where there is no fixed welding station.

Central systems, consisting of a cartridge filter unit with hoods and ductwork, are appropriate for heavy production welding. Process Environments can design a central system to ventilate all dust and fume control points simultaneously. Filtered air can then be re-circulated to the building.
